Consort Eclectus, Miriam Morris, Ruth Wilkinson, Victoria Watts, and Laura Vaughan, announce their 2006 subscription series with guest artists Calvin Bowman organ, Cynthia O'Brien baroque violin & Vivien Hamilton soprano.
In their 2006 concert series, "Fancies for the Soul and Mind", Consort Eclectus continues to present Australian audiences with imaginative programming from the rich repertoire of the viol consort. Seating is limited so booking is advised. You are invited to a light supper after each performance.

Fancye the fantastic with Cynthia O'Brien

Baroque violin Fine Fantasias, Ayres and Dances of John Jenkins and William Lawes, with guest artist Cynthia O'Brien (baroque violin).
With a long-standing reputation as a consummate violinist, Australian born Cynthia O'Brien performs regularly in Europe and Australia. She joins with Consort Eclectus to present the intricate consort music of the English Renaissance and introduce Peter Sculthorpe's "Djilile" to Melbourne audiences.

Soprano Ballads, Airs and consort music of sixteenth century Scotland and England for viols with guest soprano Vivien Hamilton. Vivien Hamilton's expressive and finely nuanced singing captures the human condition, in all its variations, to the delight of audiences Australia-wide.
